Q: How much are your puppies?
A: Puppies are currently $5000. Puppies come with age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, microchip, 30 days of complimentary pet insurance, and a 3 year contractual genetic guarantee. Puppies go home with a certificate of veterinary inspection (CVI) as well as eyes checked by an ophthalmologist. All pet/companion puppies are sold on contract and AKC limited registration.
Q: Where are you located?
A: I am located in Wisconsin. The Cotons I've produced live all over the world with their amazing families! I can assist you in finding excellent transport for your puppy if so needed.
Q: Are your dogs health tested?
A: Yes. My breeding stock is health tested for eyes annually, OFA hips, elbows, cardiac, patellas, and breed specific genetic testing. Copies can be provided upon request.
Q: How are puppies matched with their home? Do I need to pay a deposit?
A: I pair puppies to their new homes based on the puppy's temperament to what their new home/family is looking for in their Coton companion. I make these determinations when the puppies are around 8 weeks old. I do not accept deposits to join my waitlist. Priority of placement in the litter goes to show homes and sports prospects. Families are welcome to have preferences such as a boy or girl, but please be aware that this may mean you have to wait longer for a puppy.
Q: What color Cotons do you breed?
A: My breeding program follows the AKC and the UKC breed standards. My puppies will be predominantly white.
Q: What socialization do you do with your puppies?
A: We work extensively with the puppies the moment they are born. We conduct ENS. Puppies learn grooming basics—handling, baths, nail trims, teeth, blow drying, shears, clippers. Puppies live in our home and are heavily socialized to household living (vacuums, visitors, other dogs, cats, storms, etc.) We work hard to introduce puppies to a variety of novel stimuli in a positive manner, loosely following Puppy Culture. But remember—learning is life long and you must continue to train your puppy for success!
Q: How often do you breed?
A: This varies greatly based on a multitude of factors. Some years I may have 0 litters, other years I may have 2. We are a small breeding program; all of our dogs live with us in our home. We do not have puppies available at all times. Please check our puppies page for current breeding plans and timeline if you are interested.
Q: Do you sell to show homes? Juniors?
A: Absolutely! I happily will work with both proven and new show homes. I will offer mentorship to anyone who wants to learn more about showing Cotons!
